New 850B processor is upgraded for improved roadside processing performance,
The 850 processor, the Tigercat branded purpose-built alternative to excavator conversions, has been upgraded for improved performance. The new 850B retains all of the advantages over converted excavators used in roadside processing applications, such as easier service access, a more comfortable cab with better visibility, and superior cooling capacity.
The performance and fuel efficiency differential has been further increased. Initial field testing confirms that the 14% increase in power to 187 kW (251 hp) results in improved machine performance and response, such as quicker, smoother boom cycles, improved feed acceleration and braking, and more powerful swing. In addition, hydraulic system refinements target boom efficiency, reducing fuel consumption. Source
This provides faster tire pressure recommendations for machine owners.
Nokian Tyres launches Intuitu™ 2.0, the next-generation of smart tire technology featuring smart pressure assistant with load-sensing. The technology received the prestigious Agritechnica Innovation Award presented by the German Agricultural Society DLG. Machine owners can get tire pressure recommendations on the go, based on the tractor’s actual operating weight and use conditions, using just a tire sensor and a smartphone. Available exclusively with Nokian Tyres Soil King VF tires, this innovation helps maximize productivity, protect soil health, and extend tire life.
In the Intuitu mobile app, the user selects the working conditions, and within moments the recommended pressures for road and field use are displayed. There is no need for specialized knowledge to calculate the tractor’s operating weight with implements and ballasting — all necessary data is available in one place, ensuring informed decisions.
Without the Intuitu Smart Pressure Assistant, determining the correct tire pressure requires significant time, expertise, and access to costly equipment such as weighbridges, axle scales, or digital tools that demand detailed input. Since this process must be repeated every time the tractor’s implements and ballasting change, it is too easily skipped altogether. As a result, farmers miss out on the full benefits of VF tires.
The development of Intuitu 2.0 has been partially funded by Business Finland, a state-owned Finnish organization that supports innovation, and has been validated in collaboration with major global tractor manufacturers, ensuring its practical relevance and reliability in agricultural use. Source
Emission reporting helps meet environmental requirements.
The company’s Ponsse Manager system collects data produced by forest machines and visualise it as user-friendly reports. Available as the paid Ponsse Manager Pro and the free Ponsse Manager Standard service package, the system brings improved transparency and control to the work of forest machine owners, operators and office workers. Ponsse Manager Map Tools works seamlessly with the forwarders of all manufacturers. While a Ponsse harvester is required to provide data, any forwarder, including subcontractor forwarders, can be connected to the system.
The Map Tools are a new core feature of the Ponsse Manager Pro service package. They can show both machine routes and harvester production rates by assortment on a map. This allows forwarder operators to easily check how many stems are waiting for transport in the forest as well as what is already in storage.
As the first forest machine manufacturer in the world, Ponsse presents the Emissions Report function included in the Manager Pro service package calculates and shows the atmospheric CO₂ emissions of harvesters and forwarders on the machine, site and company level for a given period.
The monitoring of site-specific emissions helps reduce fuel consumption, which effectively supports the meeting of both environmental requirements and business goals. Emission reporting also helps to identify which machines are best suited for different logging sites. The reports provide different perspectives to emissions: from individual machines to the company level by working method or period. Source
