Rayco produces a new forestry mulcher

The C200 features a high-track steel undercarriage and side entry cab.

The new C200 mulcher is powered by a 147 kW (200hp) Isuzu 5.2L diesel engine and is fitted with the new dual-drive Predator mulcher head that can mulch a 1.8 m (6 ft) width. The engine allows good cutting power, while the mulcher is still compact enough to work in right-of-way’s as well as in land clearing operations. The C200 weighs 8,400 kg (18,500lbs) and can therefore be transported to and from the job easily.  The C200 rides on a hi-track, steel undercarriage with 2-speed travel and can be fitted with 20” single-grouser tracks for extreme traction or triple-grouser street pads for applications that require more flotation and less soil disturbance.  The hi-track undercarriage extends track life by reducing debris packing in the track chain, and cleans easily to save maintenance time.

Because the C200 is purpose-built, Rayco could design specific features for its forestry and right-of-way work. This includes loader-style lift arms that provide a mulcher lift height of 2.4 m (8 ft), making it easier for mulching taller vegetation.  The operator cabin contains all the modern ergonomics features, including a high-backed, heated seat with air-ride suspension.  The rear fan is auto-reversing to reduce maintenance time.  All gauges and controls are located on a large LCD display that includes a rear-view camera. Other features of the new forestry mulcher include a hydraulic rear winch, hydraulic cab tilt, comfortable and quiet cabin with side entry door and high-output LED work lights. Key specifications are included in the table below. Source: http://www.raycomfg.com/c200-forestry-mulcher.html
