New Waratah forestry attachments dealer for South Africa

Waratah Asia Pacific and Africa has announced that Forestry Plant and Equipment, is now appointed as a Waratah Forestry attachment dealer for South Africa. The new partnership with another dealer within the region enables Waratah to further strengthen its direct forestry support to the South African customer. Waratah will look to introduce a wider range of harvester and felling head models more suited to various carrier types and the South African logging conditions. Forestry Plant and Equipment are well known in the South African forestry industry as pioneers and leaders in introducing new mechanised platforms. Forestry Plant and Equipment’s newer and larger facilities has positioned them to supply one stop shop of turnkey packages with its Caterpillar forestry range of products, forest machine guarding and attachment installations, as well as business opportunity through the Forestry Plant rental fleet. Logset celebrates 25 years in business

The forest machine manufacturer was founded in Koivulahti 1992. The company launched its first harvester, the Logset 500H, in May 1993. From the beginning Logset has invested in developing its own products. The first harvester had the harvester head Logset 5-55 which was developed by Logset. Last year Logset launched the world’s first hybrid harvester, the Logset 12 H GTE Hybrid. The official birthday of Logset is in August 2017. However, the celebration begins already in June at the Elmia Wood exhibition, that will be held in Sweden. To honour the special year, Logset launched a 25-year anniversary logo. Bandit Industries Inc. has reached a settlement with the EPA regarding emissions

Bandit made a voluntary self-disclosure to the EPA after Bandit discovered one of its suppliers of engines (2,300 engines) shipped to Bandit from 2012 to 2015 may have been non-compliant. Bandit does not admit liability and Bandit expressly denies any intentional or deliberate TPEM non-compliance in the agreement. The settlement will not affect Bandit’s ability to continue to operate or supply quality products and service to its customers.  Bandit has not had any previous clean air violations and has put in measures to ensure all engines installed on their equipment comply with the Federal Clean Air Act. John Deere adds Foresight Intelligence to its list of endorsed data solutions

This will increase dealer efficiencies and customer uptime. It utilises Foresight’s Intelligent Alert Triage Center (IATC) and helps John Deere dealers and customers better manage daily machine alerts. IATC enables dealers to easily capture, consolidate and prioritize diagnostic trouble codes, oil sampling results, preventative maintenance alerts and more into one centralized and secure portal.
