The replacement for the John Deere 1710 forwarder has arrived. It is bigger and more powerful.
The new 1910E has a 19 tonne load capacity and is powered by a 9 litre, 186 kW (249 hp) engine. It makes use of the CF8 boom for loading/offloading. The larger load capacity coupled with good travel speeds will assist with longer extraction distances. It has been designed to handle difficult operating conditions such as steep slopes, rough terrain and deep snow. The cab options are either rotating, or rotating and levelling. This will improve operator comfort on slopes and allows clear visibility of the work area. It will also result in safer operations at higher productivity. The 1910E is available as either a six wheeled or eight wheeled machine.
John Deere’s Timberlink machine optimisation tool is now also available for forwarders. The entire E-Series of forwarders have also been built with sturdier frames. Some of the key specs are included in the table below. Where applicable, they are compared to the John Deere 1710D.
