As the world gets caught up in the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the timber industry is of course not exempt from the fallout. Logging-on’s first issue of March shows the direct effect on logging machine suppliers and their dealers and customers. Tigercat and Ponsse have given a clear indication of their response by discontinuing all exports or operations in Russia. Komatsu Forest have temporarily suspended shipments to Russia as well. We wait to hear the positions of the other global suppliers of logging and related machines into Russia and Belarus.
