ECO-TRACKS provide a brief overview of the application of their different bandtracks.
It can be intimidating for the forest machine owner to try and determine which bandtrack (bogie track) configuration is best suited to their application. Different machines, slopes, ground roughness and soil conditions all effect band track selection. The spacing, width, length and profiles of cross members affect the traction and flotation ability of the track. ECO-TRACKS has 10 different track choices, briefly covered as follows:
- ECO-TRACK – An all-round track for various terrain and machine sizes.
- SOFT – Extended cross members for more carrying capacity on sensitive soils. It enables increased traction on steep terrain and protects the surface layer of the soil.
- OF – For steep, rocky and muddy terrain. Lightweight and economical where traction is the main goal.
- MAX – For large machines where good traction is required on steep slopes. It also has extended cross members allowing for better carrying capacity on soft soils.
- EX – For very steep slopes. The cross member design allows very good traction in deep snow, steep slopes and rocky terrain.
- BALTIC – For soft and sensitive terrain. Suitable for driving on limbs (branches) and is able to protect the soil and roots from damage.
- MAGNUM – Ideal for ground protection due to its extended, wide cross members.
- U – An all-round track for wet, soft and steep terrain.
- EXW – A robust track for very heavy machinery. Good traction and carrying capacity. Thicker construction material enables a longer life.
- PRO – An all-round track for harvesters and forwarders up to 14 tonnes.
