Waratah releases their new HTH 622C harvester head

The four-roller design can be used for single tree harvesting and processing, or multi-stem processing applications. It features an automatic dual stem and end alignment which permits fast processing and minimal waste. A new innovation is the dual diameter and length measuring system which greatly improves measuring accuracy. A new high-flow hydraulic valve allows faster feeding and improved saw performance. The on-demand synchronized four-wheel drive feed rollers provide proportional control for increased traction on the stem. It uses a standard auto-tension three-quarter inch pitch main saw with a 65 cm (26 in) cutting capacity. This new C series head now also has 360 degree continuous rotation for improved log handling and reduced carrier-to-head hose failures. The new head will initially only be available in North America, but will soon be distributed to other markets. Key specifications are included in the table below.
