Timber transport - Videos for truck owner/operators

Trucknews.com and Michelin have produced a series of videos for truck owner/operators.

The 10 part series on becoming a successful owner/operator, is based on the ATBS Canada “Business Manual for Owner/Operators”. ATBS is a financial service provider specialising in owner/operator financing. The videos take prospective owner/operators through the process of becoming an owner/operator, and help existing owner/operators improve the profitability. Each video is approximately seven minutes long.

The first video released is titled “Is it the right choice?” and looks at the common traits that successful owner/operators have. The video helps decide whether this form of business is suited to you. A new video will be released every two weeks, covering topics such as:
 

• Record-keeping
• Understanding and maximising revenue
• Controlling costs
• Finding the right carrier
