Tigercats new factory will be located in Paris, Ontario, Canada. Tigercat officially broke ground for the new 11,800 square metre (127,000 square foot) factory on the 6th of August. During the ground breaking ceremony, Tigercat also announced the purchase of an existing 6,100 square metre (66,000 square foot) facility in Kitchener, Ontario. These two new projects increase Tigercats manufacturing capacity by 20%, and will help satisfy existing demand and future growth.
The new plant will initially focus on swing machines, such as the 200 series material handlers, the 800 series tracked feller bunchers, harvesters and shovel loggers; as well as cut-to-length attachments. It will have numerous crane lanes and flexible assembly lines along with large office space for an engineering group, allowing the building to be flexible for future projects. Tigercat currently has seven southern Ontario locations, a large parts distribution and training centre in Georgia, a sales and distribution facility in Sweden, and a dealer network that covers the forestry regions of North America, South America, Australasia, southern Africa, Europe and Russia.
