The 610E has a Tier 4 compliant engine and a host of other features.
The 610E fits into the small grapple skidder market segment, where it excels in tight spaces, soft soil conditions and selective logging applications. The new engine can be packaged into a smaller engine enclosure. This allowed the design team to develop improved sightlines for the operator, giving better visibility of the work site. It also allowed improved access to service points, better machine balance and optimised overall skidder size and weight.
The new skidder comes standard with Tigercats EHS drive system, which allows for both optimal traction and good high speed travel. Tigercat have achieved this by developing the ability to take one of the drive motors offline when high tractive effort is not required. All the pump flow is directed to one hydraulic motor, which increases the travel speed and motor efficiency. The 610E also features Tigercats ergonomic Turnaround seat, which allows the operator to swivel the seat to face the rear of the skidder. This makes grabbing of loads, releasing loads, and reversing of the skidder easy for the operator. Some of the key technical information on the new 610E is included in the table below.
