Rayco produces a new series of rubber tracked crawler trucks

These innovative trucks can be custom fitted for multiple applications.

The RCT series of rubber tracked trucks were designed to carry a wide variety of tools, machines and material, over terrain that normal trucks would usually be unable to access. The lighter RCT80 crawler truck has a carrying capacity of 2,600 kg (8,000 lb), has two-speed travel and rides on 450 mm (17.7 in) wide rubber tracks. The undercarriage has six lower rollers and does not use moving bogey wheels. The RCT80 is powered by a 50 kW (67 hp) Kubota diesel engine, and is controlled using a single, direct operated hydraulic joystick. The operator station and engine enclosure tilt out of the way for easy access to the engine and hydraulic components. The RCT80’s customised platform allows it to be fitted with dump bodies, service bodies, personnel carriers, cranes, drill rigs, water tanks and more. Factory options include a front-mounted winch, a passenger seat and a canopy. The RCT80 can also be supplied as a field service truck, and is fitted with a JOMAC service body, which can even be fitted with an optional crane.

The larger RCT150 can carry payloads of more than 6,800 kg (15,000 lb). It uses a 184 kW (260 hp) Cummins engine and makes use of Rexroth hydraulics. Ample space is provided for maintenance access to the engine and hydraulic components. It is fitted with 710 mm (28 in) tracks for low ground pressures. The two-speed system allows travel speeds of 5.8 km/hr (3.6 mph) in low range and 11.6 km/hr (7.2 mph) in high range. The RCT150 has a fully enclosed cabin with air-conditioning and heating, an air ride suspension seat and a fold-up front windscreen. It is controlled by a single, pilot operated joystick. It can carry out similar functions to the RCT80 and more. Auxiliary hydraulics can easily be added to the engines pump drive, or in line with propel pumps. Source: www.raycomfg.com
