Ponsse releases their new eucalypt harvesting head

The H77euca was launched at Expoforest 2014 in Brazil.

As the model name indicates, the new head is designed to operate in Eucalyptus plantations. Harvester heads that operate in eucalypts need to be robust to handle the high hydraulic pressures required for debarking and the high impact nature of delimbing. Ponsse indicate that the new H77euca has strong feeding and fast cutting. The geometry of the head, along with the design of the feed rollers, permits good debarking quality. The delimbing knives have extended tips for picking up trees off the ground or from a pile. A kit for conventional logging (no debarking) is available should the head be used in different applications. The new head is designed to be used with the Ponsse Ergo, the Ponsse Ergo 8W, the new Ponsse ScorpionKing, and tracked carriers weighing over 20 tons. Selected specifications are included in the table below. Source: www.ponsse.com
