Ponsse has built a new training centre intended for global use.
The centre is equipped with Ponsse simulators as well as modern, versatile training facilities suitable also for larger groups. The investment strengthens Ponsse’s ability to develop training, cooperation with forestry educational institutions, and expertise across the entire network. Training plays a central role in improving the productivity, efficiency, and sustainability of forest machine contractors and operators.
The functionality of the training centre is enhanced by accommodation for up to 20 people in its immediate vicinity, making it easier for participants to plan their stay. The training activities and their continuous development are led by Ponsse’s Training Manager Anders Åhs Jakobsson together with a growing training team.
In addition to the training facilities, the service centre in Surahammar also includes new office spaces, a new shop for spare parts and Ponsse Collection products, as well as modern service bays for forest machines. The investment supports both competence development and customer-focused service operations.
As part of the Ponsse Group’s long-term strategy, the company continues to invest in developing its service operations in Sweden. The spare parts warehouse was relocated to Västerås, which has improved spare parts logistics and customer service. Today, Ponsse has 22 service locations across Sweden, of which 14 are authorised service partners and 8 Ponsse’s own service centres. With around 100 experts and 75 service vehicles, Ponsse provides fast and reliable service close to customers’ operations throughout the country. Service quality and its development are continuously monitored, and annual investments in the service network ensure top-class service for customers, says Johan Wermlund, Service Manager responsible for Sweden.
