Tigercat introduces boom proximity sensors for their 234 Loader
These sensors slow the cylinders down before they reach the end of the stroke, which acts as a cushion. This prevents damage to not only the cylinder, but also to pins, bushings and structures. These sensors are not used with the pilot joystick controlled machines, as an electrical signal is needed. In this case, the operator must be more careful to prevent damage.
