Ponsse continues to show strong demand for forest machines during the past quarter
The company’s net sales for the first quarter were EUR 143.1 (142.1) million. Demand for trade-in machines was also good. International business operations accounted for 76.3 (73.9) per cent of net sales. Profit for the past quarter amounted to EUR 12.9 (17.1) million. The Vieremä factory and the manufacturing network surrounding Ponsse are working well. Serial production has started on the Ponsse K121 crane, the Ponsse Active Crane loader control and new engines conforming to the Stage V emission requirements within the EU area. In addition, production will start later this year for the Ponsse Cobra, the new harvester model and the Ponnse Bison, the new forwarder model. The Group's euro-denominated operating profit is expected to be slightly higher in 2019 than in 2018. Source
Olofsfors AB achieves a record turnover for 2018 and a new weekly track production record
The new year has started well for Olofsfors with a production record on tracks for forest machines. 120 pairs of tracks have been manufactured in one week! It had a turnover in 2018, together with its affiliated companies, of over SEK 600 million. Wear Steel sales have increased by 70% over the past 5 years.
