New Products - Waratah HTH623C harvester head

The HTH623C is designed for harvesting at the stump or processing at a landing.

The head is built to perform on a 25 tonne (22 to 29 tonne) carrier. The maximum feed-roller opening is 90 cm (35 in) and the maximum cutting diameter is 75 cm (30 in). It has three feed rollers (with various feed wheel options available) with full hydraulic synchro-drive. The head weighs 2,800 kg (6,160 lb) excluding links and additional options. Other key specs are included in the table below.

Some of the features on the HTH 623C are as follows:
  • It has large, high-torque feed motors to achieve optimal delimbing power and feed speed.
  • Heavy duty rotator (same as on larger Waratah heads).
  • Double-tilt down stops to decrease frame stress and increase frame durability.
  • A fixed-centre drive motor eliminates the need to grease the hub.
  • Saw box designed to handle butt flare and achieve low stump heights.
  • An improved find-end sensor position to reduce sawdust contamination.
  • Valve and valve cover changes to improve access and serviceability.
  • Reduced exposure of hoses which reduces the number and frequency of hose changes.
