New harvester head from SP

Designed for tracked carriers, the SP 861LF is built for big trees with large branches.

The large maximum pulling force of 46 kN (10,340 lbf) enables the SP 861 LF to harvest trees with large branches. It replaces the current SP 761 LF, and is the largest harvester head in the LF series. It is available as a cut-to-length harvester head or as a dedicated processor with a topping saw and specially designed delimbing knives for improved performance for picking up trees from a pile. The optimal tree diameter (at breast height) lies between 25 and 55 cm (10 to 22 in). The feed rollers have proportional clamping pressures. The head has been tested in various markets on different carriers since February 2012, and will be showcased at various exhibitions over the next six months. The table below provides the key specifications.

Minimum pump capacity 250 l/min (66 gpm)
