New from CBI - the Magnum Force 5400 Multiflex grinder

The grinder will suite machine owners looking for a one-man solution.

The Multiflex has mainly been designed for European customers, where labour is expensive or difficult to source. It is powered by a Cat C18 engine producing 563 kW (765 hp) of power, and is road legal, having a width of 2.55 m (8.4 ft) and a weight of 35,000 kg (77,000 lbs). It is designed to be pulled by a truck that incorporates a log loader. Permits for machine movement are not usually required.

Potential machine owners can select from four different field-swappable rotors that suite the materials that they will be processing. This allows the operator to process a wide variety of material to produce the products that their customers require. The infeed and grinding chamber rotates 60 degrees left or right to allow material to be fed from both sides of the grinder. The radial discharge also rotates 60 degrees to the left and the right, and has a variable speed discharge conveyor, which operates from 91 to 305 metres (300 to 1000 foot) per minute.

The products that can be produced include high quality mulch from trees and stumps, to chipping stem wood into chips that range from a constant 2 mm (0.08 in) length to a constant 30 mm (1.2 in) length, to grinding contaminated wood such as railway sleepers; all by just swapping rotors and screens. The new CBI Magnum Force 5400 Multiflex will be unveiled and demonstrated at Finn-Metko in Finland from 28 to 30 August, 2014. Source: www.cbi-inc.com
