Logset launches their new TH55 harvester head.

The head is designed for thinning operations where maximum reach is required.

The TH55 is a lightweight and compact head for use in second and third thinning and small tree clearfelling operations. The head works optimally with the Logset 5H GT harvester, allowing full control of the head even when the boom is at full reach. The head is designed to be able to handle crooked stems due to a synchronised feed roller system. Stem diameter is measured using the delimbing knives, and length measurement is carried out with a dedicated hydraulic measuring wheel. The TH55 can be equipped with a multiple stem handling option for harvesting of multiple trees. This consists of a rear knife and feed rollers designed for bunch processing.

Logset now have five harvester heads in their range. They are able to harvest trees with maximum diameters ranging from 45 to 75 cm (18 to 30 in). The TH range of harvester heads contains improvements such as new hose routings, better serviceability, stronger delimbing knives and synchronised feeding.
