The LoadOptimiser system for forwarders weighs, specifies, saves and manages load information. The system can be fitted onto all Ponsse forwarder cranes. Fully automatic weighing takes place during loading and off-loading. Besides being a tool for forwarder productivity management, it is also able to accurately determine how much stock has been placed on roadside. The operator does not have to be concerned about whether the forwarder is over or under-loaded and can focus on machine operation. The load data of up to 1000 of the most recent loads is registered. Another advantage is that the total weight extracted during a shift or other time period can be determined. Weighing accuracy is within 1.8% on an 8,000 kg load, and this can be achieved in temperatures as high as 40 degrees and as low as minus 30 degrees. It is also unaffected by dirt, dust, snow, water, frost or impacts.
Transfer of data can be by a USB memory stick or by wireless connection to a vehicle computer or PC. The information can be printed onto paper. Data can be transferred to the logistics systems of other forest companies and customers. Source: http://www.ponsse.com
