Komatsu Forest launches their new 835 forwarder

The 835 has been designed to operate in thinning’s.

The new eight-wheel drive forwarder has a 12 ton (11 tonne) load capacity and features Komatsu’s FlexGate, which moves up and down if the crane strikes it. FlexGate also provides better visibility for the operator. An additional option is the fitment of FlexBunk, which provides height-adjustable supports. The forwarder also features a new crane (the Komatsu 105F) with long reach and high slewing torque for steep terrain loading.

The short nose of the forwarder allows good downward visibility, and the cab design also has good upward visibility. The 835 has the option of Komatsu’s Comfort Ride cab suspension option, which results in a much smoother ride for the operator. Komatsu Forest indicate that increased manoeuvrability and reduced ground pressure is achieved through the use of a weight-optimised frame system for good obstacle clearance. Wide rear tracks reduce ground pressure.

The 835 is powered by a new 4 cylinder engine that meets EU Stage IV and EPA Tier 4 Final emission requirements. Key specifications are provided in the table below. Source: www.komatsuforest.com
