The new engines produce more power and torque, and the fixed cabin is a response to customer requests.John Deere introduced the 1210E and 1510E IT4 models of their E series forwarders at Elmia 2013. They are equipped with John Deere 6068 PowerTech Plus series turbo-charged six-cylinder 6.8 litre engines. The 1210E IT4 has more power, torque and improved boom control. The 1510 E IT4 is also more powerful and features a larger hydraulic pump and a stronger drive motor. Depending on the market, the 1510 is also available with a Tier 3 and Stage 2 engine, and the 1210E with a Stage 2 engine.
John Deere is offering a fixed cab alternative to their rotating and levelling cabs in its E series forwarders. The fixed cabin option will feature the same control panels and the same seat options as the rotating model. Other components and optional equipment will be similar to the rotating cab, which should ensure easier maintenance and better spare parts availability.
