The new Eco Log 550 T-PRO fits snuggly into the range of harvesters.
The harvester has been designed primarily for thinning work. With its six wheels, the 550 T-Pro can easily travel over rough terrain. The machine’s sturdy mid-section in combination with pendulum arms means that one can easily move the machine with an extended crane without having to retract it. This can lead to valuable time saving and increased productivity.
Due to the power of Volvo Penta D8 of 160 kW (218 hp) engine, the harvester can quickly respond to an increased load. The combination of a swivel cab and pendulum arms makes the harvester flexible for a variety of conditions and well suited to thinning work. The available harvester heads for this model are Log Max 3000T and 4000T.
The new harvester has a 350° reversible cab, a powerful crane with 220 kNm of force, six wheels and pendulum arms for easy use in difficult terrains and the Dasa Forester adaption system. The harvester weighs 19,100 kg (42,108 lb). The off-road maximum speed is 7 km/hr (4 mph) and the maximum on-raid speed is 15 km/hr (9 mph). Reach, depending on head and configuration, is between 10 to 11.5 m (33 to 38 ft). Source
