The Gilbert GM-Series grader mowers are brush cutter heads mounted onto graders for roadside maintenance. The head is well suited to forestry roads, and cuts vegetation as opposed to mulching it. This causes less soil disturbance and is a more productive operation, with speeds four times faster than other applications and 10 times lower operating costs.
The GM-10 model has a cutting width of 2.6 m (8.5 ft) using six saw blades. It can cut stems up to 20 cm (8 in) diameter at an average travel speed of 6 km per hour. The head can be installed on most graders using the standard hydraulic and fixing points for easy fitment and removal. The power needs of the GM-10 are easily provided by the grader without affecting its performance. Source: www.gilbert-tech.com
