The compact chipper has a revolving superstructure to provide optimal flexibility for feeding and discharge. Because it is truck-mounted, it can easily move between job sites. The chipper is powered by a Mercedes OM 460 LA engine that produces 360 kW (490 hp) of power at 2,000 rpm. The engine is Stage 3B compliant. The maximum torque is reached at 1,300 rpm. The chipping drum has a width of 85 cm (33.5 in) and a diameter of 100 cm (39.4 in). Four chipping knives are used on the drum perimeter; with the usual operating rpm of the chipper drum being 610 rpm (depends on engine speed). The maximum log diameter in softwoods is 60 cm (23.6 in) and in hardwoods is 48 cm (18.9 in). The diesel tank capacity is 750 l (198 gal) and the weight of the super-structure is approximately 16,000 kg (35,274 lb). The entire truck weighs approximately 31 tonnes. Additional options include remote control operations, a damping facility and discharge arm lighting. Source: http://www.doppstadt.com/en/home/
