Developed for compact harvesters, the 2000T is the latest addition to the T-series thinning heads.
With the heads specially adapted hydraulics, you get a high-speed head both for feed speed and the saw unit. Some of the key features and information are as follows:
- It weighs 420kg (926 lb). It is approximately 6 kg (13 lb) lighter than its predecessor (928A).
- It forms part of the thinning series, a refined thinning head, used both in first and second thinning.
- It is suitable to carriers of between 6,5 and 13 tons.
- Its best productivity is in trees of between 6 and 25cm (2.4 and 10 in).
- Its maximum cutting diameter is 41 cm (16 in).
- It has new hydraulics that increases performance and drivability compared to its predecessor. It feeds at 4 m/s (13 ft/s), which is an improvement of 30%.
The 2000T’s feed roller motors have 280cc of power, which is less than its predecessor, which had 364cc. The main pressure is also adjusted, from 210 bar to 280 bar. The smaller motor improves the feed speed while maintaining traction thanks to the increased pressure. The raised pressure also gives 30% more power to the saw.
The measuring unit at 2000T has been developed with a new sensor. It's contactless and has no mechanical moving components. The changes will result in minimal or even non-existent service and maintenance of this sensor. To facilitate the service of the head, it's now possible to change the sensor and cable separately throughout the new mounting of the saw sensors. The attachment has also been redesigned to make it easier to adjust the sensors.
The Log Max 2000T is equipped with a new saw unit named EasyCut. There is a new tensioner for the saw chain. It was previously tightened with an Allen key but is now redesigned to fit a 7mm flexible screwdriver. Log Max have also tried to simplify the service of the bearing unit by adding an easily accessible lubrication nipple.
Log max 2000T is only compatible with their own control system, the Log Mate 510. Log Mate 510 is robust, compact and of high quality. It is Windows-based, which simplifies the administration and updating of the system and provides good support for all new programs and services. The system uses the latest forest standard StanForD 2010 v2 and v3 and consists of three modules, screen, cabin, and head module. Source
