SP launches two new harvester head models at ExpoForest Brazil

The SP 661 E and SP 761 E are specifically designed for harvesting and debarking of plantation grown Eucalyptus.

The heads have improved hose routing and a heavy duty design. This, in combination with improved debarking efficiency and high speed feeding, allows improved productivity, reliability and profitability.

The SP 661 E and SP 761 are designed for one task only; one pass debarking of plantation grown Eucalyptus. Good debarking quality and productivity is achieved through a combination of specially designed debarking knives, replaceable bark deflectors and high-speed feeding capabilities. Due to the proportional pressure function on the knives and feed rollers, the debarking process can easily be precisely adjusted for different conditions, resulting in the best possible debarking quality and a minimum of fiber damage.

The SP 661 E and SP 761 E provide good reliability and uptime thanks to the hose routing in combination with the rugged and protected design. The SP 661 E reaches top performance in stands with a diameter of 10 to 25 cm DBH. The SP 761 E reaches top performance in stands with a diameter of 15 to 35 cm DBH. Thanks to the LF principle, the heads are also capable of efficiently working with larger tree sizes. Source
