Road construction products - New backhoes and small wheeled loaders from Cat

The new Cat F Series backhoe loaders and K Series small wheeled loaders have been released.

There are three new models in the Cat F Series backhoe loader range; the 416F (65 kW / 87 hp), 420F (69 kW / 87 hp) and 430F (81 kW / 109 hp). These are all centre-pivot machines, and feature a new Cat C4.4 engine that meets Tier 4 Interim / Stage IIIB emission standards. The new backhoes have greater lift capacity, more bucket breakout force and increased backhoe control. Features retained from the E Series backhoes include a more powerful, load sensing, closed-centre hydraulic system; and an excavator-style boom for more clearance when digging over obstacles or loading trucks.

The three new Cat wheeled loader models, namely the 924K (106 kW / 142 hp), 930K (116 kW / 156 hp) and 938K (127 kW / 170 hp), have been completely redesigned. A new Cat C6.6 ACERT engine powers the new loaders, resulting in up to 30% fuel savings over the previous H Series models. This is partly due to the engines rated speed setting of 1,800 rpm compared to 2,415 rpm for the H Series. This also lowers noise levels and reduces engine wear. The new models have a step-less, four-range, hydrostatic drive system that allows independent control of ground speed and engine speed for the efficient operation of hydraulically powered work tools. A creeper control feature improves low speed operations by allowing the operator to adjust maximum ground speed down to 1 mile per hour (1.6 km/hr). The 924H, 924Hz, 928Hz, 930H, 938H and IT938H predecessor models will still be available in markets having lower fuel quality and less-stringent emissions standards. Source: www.cat.com
