Nokian introduces a new truck trailer tyre for demanding conditions

The Nokian Hakka 844 trailer tyre is designed specifically for trailers but can also be used as a front tyre.

The 385 / 55R22.5 Hakka Truck 844 trailer tyre has a new structure to increase mileage and provide good wear resistance during demanding conditions. It is an all-season tyre for long and medium distance transport. It also has the snowflake symbol, indicating that it is an official winter tyre as well. The tyre uses a new belt structure for optimal surface pressure, which provides even tyre wear and good mileage. Rolling distance is reduced which decreases fuel costs and allows silent running.

A spiral sipe system is used to maintain the correct stiffness of the tread pattern even as the tyre wears down, allowing good grip to be maintained. The siping also reduces tyre noise. The main grooves have stone ejectors to reduce stone trapping. This reduces sharp stones from penetrating into the tyre. This also reduces the number of stone projectiles coming from the tyre which protects other road users. A simple wear indicator allows the driver to safely monitor the wear of the tyre. A Driving Safety Indicator (DSI), patented by Nokian Tyres, indicates how many millimetres of tread are left on the main grooves of the tyre. The tyre has very good retreading properties. The tyre was specifically designed for Nordic countries, Russia and Central Europe. Source: www.nokianheavytyres.us
