JCB stops production as global demand for machines reduces

JCB stopped production at all of its UK manufacturing plants until at least the end of April as disruption resulting from the worldwide Coronavirus pandemic causes an unprecedented reduction in global demand. Shop floor employees affected by the move will be paid in full during this period. These measures are unprecedented in the history of JCB. Source

Logset halts production until the end of April

Logset needs to ensure that proper measures are taken quickly to minimize the effects of the global Corona virus pandemic on the Logset business. The entire production staff will be laid off in April. Most of other Logset personnel will also be laid off or work limited hours in April. The aftersales services will continue to work from the Vanha Vaasa location, including spare part deliveries and remote dealer & customer support. The sales and dealer support activities will continue remotely as well. The plan is to resume production and deliveries from May 4th, 2020 onwards. Source

Impact of the Corona virus on Komatsu Forest operations

Komatsu Forest has decided to keep its production completely or partially closed between 2020-04-13 through 2020-06-21 due to the effects of the Corona pandemic. They will close their production completely for three weeks, after which they intend to gradually increase production. These plans assume that their suppliers can start up their production according to plan and that restrictions on the spread of infection allows it. Komatsu Forest warns that if you have ordered a new machine, your delivery date may be affected. In this unusual situation, it will be more difficult to give delivery dates. The current focus is on continuing to conduct daily operations to support customers with service, spare parts and machine deliveries. Currently they can deliver spare parts just as usual. Source

Ponsse's employee co-operation negotiations for the Corona Virus situation have been concluded
