Logset makes a number of new dealership agreements in the US
Logset has signed distribution agreements with U.S. based Fabick CAT and U.S. based Milton CAT to market Logset products. The new dealers will provide sales, parts and service for Logset harvesters and forwarders throughout their service territories. The Fabick CAT territory includes the entire state of Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, as well as major parts of Missouri and Illinois. The Milton CAT territory consists of New England and upstate New York. The initial shipment of machines is scheduled for June. Source
Fecon brings a new excavator Bull Hog mulching attachment to their line up
The new mulching attachment is suited for midi size excavators from 5-10 ton. It has a 91 cm (36 in) cutting width and variable motor. It weight 386 kg (850 lb) and can be mounted on backhoes and side arm booms. The head offers a split ring rotor design with Fecons new reversible cubit teeth. This gives uses the option to quickly mulch 10 cm (4 in) material and intermittently mulch up to 15 cm (6 in) material. Source
JCB enters the fashion market!
JCB has its sights set on a new market after launching a range of branded prescription safety glasses with leading high street retailer Specsavers. A total of 20 JCB frames are being made available in men’s, women’s and unisex designs under the licensing agreement between the two companies. By the end of the year all 1,700-plus Specsavers stores globally will offer the JCB range. Source
Palfinger show their new Q-series prototype cranes for on-road transport
The crane is the lightest in its class with up 10% weight reduction compared to the predecessor series. It also has the longest reach in its class – up to 11m outreach. The new design geometry gives 1400mm (55 in) more outreach. It has up to 15% more speed than the previous model. It has no more hoses between the main boom and crane base. Instead, the oil flow is through the slewing distributor. The slewing distributor can be demounted without disassembling the crane. Source
Deere to acquire the Wirtgen Group, a global leader in road construction equipment
Through the acquisition, John Deere is able to add five premium brands to their construction equipment line-up with no product overlap. Products made by the Wirtgen Group are complementary in the road construction process to John Deere equipment. The total transaction value is approximately EUR 4.6 billion (USD 5.2 billion based on current exchange rates). The Wirtgen Group has their headquarters in Germany. Source
