Newsflash - What's happening in Forest Engineering?

New hope for Forest Engineering research in Australia.
The CRC for Forestry will cease to exist in July 2012. Mark Brown, the current CRC programme leader for Harvesting and Operations will be taking up the position of Professor of Forestry Operations at the University of the Sunshine Coast. This new position will have the focus of continuing collaborative research with the forestry industry. For more information contact Mark at mwbrown@unimelb.edu.au

Logmax produces 4000th harvesting head.
The 4000th head was a LogMax 7000XT produced at the Logmax factory in Grangarde, Sweden, and was shipped to a customer in the western USA. Logmax produced their first head in 1980, and is now represented across the globe, producing 12 different harvester heads. Source: www.logmax.com
