John Deere expects higher global forestry machine sales for 2018

John Deere reported impressive third quarter financial results. In forestry, global industry sales are expected to be up about 10 percent mainly as a result of improved demand throughout the world, led by North America. The outlook reflects continued improvement in demand driven by higher housing starts in the U.S., increased activity in the oil and gas sector, and economic growth worldwide. Source

Epec Oy has begun the search for a new managing director

Teemu Raitis, the managing director of Epec Oy, will resign from the company's service by the end of this year. Raitis has acted as Epec Oy's managing director since 2016. Epec Oy is Ponsse Group's subsidiary located in Seinäjoki, Finland. It designs and manufactures control systems for mobile work machines, electronics and software for demanding conditions. Epec Oy was founded in 1978, and it has been the manufacturer of PONSSE information system products since 2004. Source

Hiab acquires crane manufacturer EFFER S.p.A from the CTE Group

Hiab has entered into an agreement to acquire the Effer loader cranes business from the CTE Group for an enterprise value of EUR 50 million. This acquisition means a significant advancement for Hiab's ambition to be the global leader in cranes and the preferred partner for its customers. Source
