New wheeled loader from Komatsu

Fuel consumption reductions of up to 10% are possible with the Komatsu’s new WA320-7 wheeled loader.

The 15,300 kg (33,731 lb) WA320-7 is powered by a 123 kW (165 hp) engine which is Tier 4 Interim and Stage 3B emission compliant. Komatsu indicates that the new loader offers improvements in productivity, operator comfort, serviceability and operating costs. The WA320-7 utilises the Parallel Z-bar loader linkage for multiple applications. It offers large break-out forces for easy and quick bucket lifting. The loaders lift force has increased by up to 10% over the previous model (the WA320PZ-6). Some of the new features include the following:

  • SmartLoader logic provides optimal torque for the load at hand.
  • A responsive hydrostatic powertrain system that has higher pump capacity.
  • Easier access for servicing and improved cooling capacity with wider fin spacing and a standard auto-reversing fan to keep the radiator clean.
  • A better operator environment due to lower cab noise levels, improved visibility, a seat-mounted right hand console with multi-function mono-lever, and an auxiliary input for an MP3 player.
