The excavator comes with a Tier 4 Interim / EU Stage 3B emissions certified engine.The PC210LC-10 has a net horsepower of 158 hp (118 kW), and an operating weight of 52,036 lbs (23,603 kg). The special features include the following:
- A Tier 4 Interim and EU Stage 3B emissions certified engine – the Komatsu engine increases power and reduces fuel consumption compared to the PC200LC-8 excavator. Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) is used to achieve the emission standards.
- Two counterweight options – The standard counter provides excellent lateral stability where heavy lifting is required. An optional lighter counterweight ensures easier transportation between work sites.
- Efficient hydraulic system – A closed centre load sensing hydraulic system uses both variable and low speed matching. The variable speed matching allows the engine to adjust based on the hydraulic output for both light and heavy-duty applications, while low speed matching uses larger pumps for higher pump output at low engine speeds.
- Improved operator ergonomics – The new cab is quieter and more comfortable. A high-back, fully adjustable seat uses air suspension and is even heated for those cold days. A high resolution LCD screen enables easier viewing.
- Convenient maintenance and servicing – Maintenance access points are improved, and changes include extended handrails on the upper structure, and the radiator and oil cooler being mounted side by side.
