New from Kesla at SkogsElmia Loaders - a harvester head and a chipper

Kesla released some exciting new products during SkogsElmia.

The newcomers in the loader range are the 2111Z and 2111ZT. These loaders are designed for timber loading, but can also be used when processing recycled materials. The loaders are lighter than previous models and have an increased reach of 9.6 metres (31.5 ft). Features include well protected hydraulic piping, a modernised rotator coupling, new stabiliser cylinders, and increased lifting capacity due to a wide-angle joint at the connection of the column and lifting boom.

The new harvester head is the 25RH mkII. It replaces the 25RH, which has been the universal harvester head from Kesla for felling and thinning. Improvements are numerous, including to the frame, delimbing knives, shafts and bearings, wider valve system for better feeding power and speed, and improved maintenance. The new measuring device has no rotating parts, and diameter and length accuracy have been improved. A setup for eucalypt harvesting is also avaialbe. The head can be mounted on 13 to 16 tonne excavators.

A new tractor-operated chipper, the C1060T, has a wide feed opening, and is productive when processing logging residues and stem wood. Previously this chipper could only be purchased as a truck-mounted unit.

Logging-on will provide more detail on the above products as it becomes available. Source: www.kesla.fi
