New Cranab single telescopic forwarder crane designs with 8.5 m reach

Cranab has produced six new cranes that will cover the entire range of forwarder sizes.

Single telescopic cranes have advantages such as being lighter in weight and having fewer moving parts, making them easier to maintain. They are also strong, robust and have good reach. Cranab indicates that they have seen great demand for a wider range of single telescopic cranes and versions for the 8.5 m range (28 ft). Cranab’s FC10 and FC20 cranes used on medium and large forwarders are available in the extra-long 8.5 m design, called ET+. With Cranab’s six new single telescopic cranes and their recently introduced FC16, they hold the markets most comprehensive range of cranes for forwarders.

Cranab has used external, well laid out hose routings on the single telescopic cranes. The external hose routing has been used to allow easier maintenance. Bend radii of the hoses has been optimised to prevent fatigue and the hoses have been installed so as to be uncluttered.

The new cranes are particularly suitable to forwarders used to carry chippers or load tops and branches, as they are able to lift materials higher and closer in. Source: http://www.cranab.se/static/en/
