The new simulator has focussed on accurate behaviour and good graphics.
Logset indicates that its strength lies in the accurate simulation of dynamics, where hydraulic pressures and flows and mechanical forces are realistically simulated. The control and measuring system behave as if it was installed in a real machine. The simulator uses the same components as real Logset machines. All graphics and algorithms were developed in co-operation with Mevea, which is an experienced company with expertise in real-time simulation of dynamics.
The new simulator has the aim of efficiently training new operators without the machine damage and low productivity associated with inexperienced operators. However, more experienced operators can improve their skills and test new working methods. Simulated training can also be more efficiently done as an entire group can be trained at the same time. Naturally, training also takes place in a dry, warm and safe environment. The simulator can also be used by people working with technical support. By simulating the problem, the service technician can understand the situation and give better support, enabling the customer to get better, faster and more accurate answers.
