Kesla launches new log trailers and loaders

Nine new timber trailer models are being brought to the market.

All of the trailers have an eight to ten tonne loading capacity. Improvements over previous models include a sturdier frame beam, longer tow bar, new hose rack, protection for the hoses between the trailer and tractor, a revamped post attachment and a more versatile selection of tyres and brakes. Kesla’s new 12MDV log trailer is equipped with a frame lock and is attached to the tractors rear axle. This results in no stabiliser legs being needed. This trailer has a 12 tonne loading capacity and has a mechanical drive which can pull 5.3 tonnes.

The loader range has been expanded upon with the introduction of a new heavy-duty Kesla 316 loader. It has a lifting torque of 80 kNm and a reach of 7.2 m (23.6 ft). A double extension model, the Kesla 316T, will be introduced later in the year. The 316 has different control valves available. These range from mechanical valves to electrohydraulic pilot valves.

New log loading grapples are also being introduced. The Kesla proG grapples will be used on Kesla cranes regardless of size. The proG 20 model is suitable for Kesla 200 series loaders, while the Kesla proG 25 is suited to the larger 300 series loaders.

Kesla also has the 40LFe stroke delimber which can be installed on a Kesla timber loaders A-frame, a tractors 3-point linkage or a Kesla log trailer. Source: www.kesla.com
