John Deere introduces their WorkSight- Fuel Advantage programme

The new programme is eligible on 47 pieces of construction equipment.

The programme features fuel consumption commitments, quarterly reports designed to help contractors improve efficiency, and an incentive to utilize the John Deere dealer as a consultative partner. It aims to bring together machines, technology, and John Deere dealers to make the contractor's job easier. The programme will provide fuel consumption targets and reward customers for meeting with their dealer. Enrolled machines will earn a credit of one US dollar or one Canadian dollar per gallon or litre above the target if the machine's average annual fuel consumption exceeds the programme's target fuel consumption level. Credits, if earned, will be provided at the end of the year for use at a local John Deere construction dealership.

Another important part of the programme is the ability to use a John Deere dealer as a consultant. The JDLink™ machine monitoring system will be used to generate quarterly reports which will be emailed to enrolled customers. Dealers and customers would then meet to discuss the telematics data and recommendations included in the reports, as well as look for trends, opportunities and insights to improve efficiency in the future. As an incentive, when the contractors discuss the first report with their dealer within 60 days of receiving it, they will receive a code redeemable online for a $ 100 personal fuel card from the participating fuel retailer of their choice. Eligible machines purchased between November 2015 and August 2016 can be enrolled in the programme. Machines are eligible for programme benefits for three years or 5,000 hours from settlement.
