With increasing fuel prices and few quantum gains remaining to reduce the tare weights of heavy trucks, the focus is on improving the aerodynamic efficiency of our trucks. Aerofficient produces simple, functional and durable products to achieve this. One of the complaints in the trucking industry is the lack of robustness of aerodynamic attachments. Aerofficient’s business model focuses on products that can achieve savings after the costs of purchasing, installing and maintaining their products; and secondly to produce products that are simple and cost effective.
Aerofficient offers three products; a front “gap” fairing, side skirt fairings and a rear fairing. Each may be purchased and used separately, but optimal savings are achieved when using all three together as a system. They claim that there is no other product that achieves the collective savings of using the three different fairings as a system.
Each fairing can be installed by two reasonably skilled and experienced workshop personnel. They can even be installed on fully laden trailers as no interior access is required.
