FAE - New MTH road stabiliser/forestry mulcher/stump grinder/recycler

Multi-tasking is the order of the day with this series of attachments.

MTH stands for “multi-task heavy”. The attachment is primarily aimed at being used for road stabilisation (by adding cement, lime or polymers for example), but it can also be used as a stone crusher, asphalt shredder, forestry mulcher, stump grinder and material recycler. There are three different models, all powered from the PTO of an agricultural tractor. This direct mechanical transmission of power ensures that no energy is lost on route to the attachment. The rotor has a reduced rotation speed of 190 rpm to allow for more torque. The MTH allows material to be scarified without prior ripping. Two hydraulic cylinders allow the variable displacement rotor to be lowered to the precise depth required. The maximum working depth is 20 in (51 cm). A standard four wheel drive agricultural tractor with between 230 and 360 hp (170 and 270 kW) is required. The specs for the different models are included in the table below.

Two different rotor configurations are available:
  1. With bullet teeth used on road profilers and scarifiers
  2. With FAE “A” type teeth used for forestry mulching and stump grinding. Stumps of up to 20 in (51 cm) can be mulched. The teeth are strong enough to handle rocks and stones.
