Cranab aims to offer equipment for the forestry supply chain from scarification to clearfelling.
Crane manufacturer, Cranab, is based outside Umea, Sweden. Bracke Forest, also a Swedish company, will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Cranab. Bracke manufactures machines for forest regeneration and thinning. As part of the deal, the Italian Fassi Group, which is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of truck cranes, will become a new shareholder in Cranab. In addition, Mittkapital, Ekonord and Inlandsinnovation (all Swedish investment companies) will invest equity in Cranab.
This deal will result in Cranab adding approximately 50 employees to bring their total to 200, and will increase sales by approximately Euro 11 million to Euro 40 million. This deal follows the October announcement that Cranab has acquired Vimek. The chairman of the board, Hans Eliasson, and the CEO, Fredrik Jonsson, will remain has the majority owners of Cranab.
