The grinders have a wide swing arc and adjustable tongue to grind large stumps without having to frequently reposition the machine. Hydrostatic drive is used to reduce maintenance problems and costs, as there are no belts, jackshafts, bearings or other parts to maintain, making maintenance very simple. Power supply is also much smoother with the hydrostatic transmission, making the 2600 and 2700 easy to operate from swing-out control panels or optional radio remotes. The swing arc of the grinder is 1.5 m (5 ft).
The 2600 uses a 45 kW (61 hp) diesel engine, while the 2700 uses either a 71 or 85 kW (97 or 115 hp) diesel engine. Both models are mounted onto a Torflex axle and come standard with the Revolution cutting wheel. Both feature telescopic tongues to enable accurate positioning on the stumps. The models are aimed at stump grinding professionals, municipalities and rental companies. Source: www.banditchippers.com
