Ponsse publishes their financial statements for 2015

Ponsse reports strong financial results for 2015.

2015 was a very strong year for Ponsse, with even better results than 2014. Ponsse achieved 18 % growth in net sales, an operating profit margin of over 12 % and a EUR 44.0 million cash flow from business operations. Exports reached a record of 77 % of net sales. Ponsse state that the forest machine market was active and the order intake was high throughout the year. The order books were still high at the end of the year, amounting to EUR 158.1 million. The Vieremä factory manufactured a record number of forest machines during 2015.

Regarding markets, North America was particularly strong, with both the USA and Canada contributing to increased sales. In Russia, demand for forest machines picked up towards the end of the year, despite the current uncertainty. In Europe, markets were also positive. However, the Swedish forest machine market continued to be depressed, and the Finnish forest machine market was larger than the Swedish market for the first time in history. After the good performance in 2015, Ponsse’s euro-denominated operating profit is expected to be similar in 2016. Ponsse indicate that their strongly reformed and competitive product range and new service solutions have significantly grown the company. Source:  www.ponsse.com
