The Landrich 2.0 has been optimised for cut-to-length mechanised logging.
The first Landrich to be manufactured and assembled at the new 63,000 ft2 (5,850 m2) production facility in New Brunswick, Canada, has taken place. The entire Landrich team was on site to inaugurate the first Landrich off the assembly line. The Landrich has been redesigned into the “Landrich 2.0” while improving on the core design principles of this purpose-built track harvester.
Every design decision revolved around maximising efficiency and reducing fuel consumption while operating in a Canadian forest of mixed tree species, rugged terrain, and extreme seasonal changes with heavy snowfalls.
The operator and their comfort are at the centre of the design process. The Landrich 2.0 cab has been improved with even more space and comfort features. It has an integrated exterior toolbox, upgraded air conditioning, and a 20% increase in cabin space. The redesigned cab has increased visibility, giving the operator a 180-degree panoramic view and seeing the left and right tracks from the operator’s seat.
The hydraulics have been optimized for a smooth boom and swing movement, and with custom software for full machine diagnostics. It has a large 750 litre fuel tank and ultra-low-DEF consumption, allowing it to operate independently for up to 3 shifts, depending on the application, without refuelling.
In addition to visibility enhancements, the latest models will offer optional satellite-ready radio, improving the operator experience in the cab. A new optional hydraulic vacuum pump can also be added to 2022 model-year machines, minimising oil loss and spillage during times of hydraulic maintenance and repair. Source
