Interesting Information - Comparing The Specifications Of Forest Machines

During equipment selection, we often need to compare the technical specifications of various machines. But downloading or printing masses of spec sheets of different manufactures and machines is very time consuming. Here is a website which allows us to carry out thorough comparisons.

The website is called spec-check.com and allows one to compare a wide range of equipment such as forestry, compaction, earthmoving and trucking and hauling. First click where it says “Start your search here – search and compare current models”. The forestry equipment is categorised into feller bunchers, excavators, forwarders, harvesters, loaders and skidders. Once one of these categories has been selected, there are sub-categories which let you refine your search further. For example, if feller bunchers is selected, one has the choice of tracked or wheeled feller bunchers. If tracked feller bunchers is selected, one can then refine the search by manufacturer or by engine power. If one chooses the manufacturer option, you will choose which manufacturer and model you wish to select and then select further manufacturers and models to compare it against. If one chooses the engine power option, only the equipment that meets the engine power category selected will be displayed. Four different machines can be compared at once and the results displayed in either metric or English units of measurements. The results can also be exported to Excel.

The website is up to date, which is always one of the frustrations when carrying out these searches. Spec-check is also independent and is therefore not linked to any manufacturers. But then what is the catch? Well, it is not all for free. A few basic specifications can be compared, but if you want more, then it will cost a few dollars! There are three options for the full expanded specs; a four hour view, a three calendar day view and a one calendar year view. Source: http://www.spec-check.com
